Jason Christopher Bailey-Johnson
August 6, 1969 – August 17, 2026

Memorial services for Jason Christopher Bailey-Johnson, 57, of Cairo, GA, are planned for a date in the near future at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel, Cairo, GA. Rev. Marian Johnson will officiate. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo, GA. Mr. Johnson passed away at his home on Monday, August 17, 2026.

Jason was born on August 6, 1969, in Thomasville, GA, to the late James Clinton Bailey and Marian Phillips Johnson. He was a graduate of the CHS Class of 1989. He worked in the information technology industry.

Survivors include: his mother, Marian Johnson of Cairo, GA; siblings, Clint Bailey (Florida), Suzanne Bailey (Florida), Scott Howard Johnson (Texas), Carrie Johnson Glover (Mack) Panama City, Florida; an aunt, Charlotte Kirkland; cousin, Keith Kirkland. Extended family include Dewayne Sorrow (Tiffany), Whigham, GA; Denese Johnson (Texas).

Additional loved one include nephews and nieces, Scotty Johnson (Shay), Justin Johnson, Taylor Johnson, Mackenzie Glover; great-nephews and great-nieces, Kali Johnson, Trey Johnson, Nate Molique, Bella Molique; Lauren Brown (Ty), Logan Sorrow, Aubree Sorrow; Ashley Sorrow, Amber and Victor Gonzales, Leann Moye, Mattie Grace Moye; and a host of adopted family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by: both of his maternal and paternal grandparents; fathers, James Bailey and Dr. Rev. Larry E. Johnson; and cousin, Karen Kirkland Moye.

Jason was a man of strong faith and love. He believed in showing others how much he loved them. He was the cord that kept all the people in his families tied together and in touch. He loved the family reunions and looked forward to being with everyone. His love of all sports, especially wrestling, basketball and football was his entertainment. His superb memory of all the teams, their players and all their scores was quite outstanding. He kept all his friends informed of the schedules of their favorite teams during the season.

He loved all his family and friends deeply but was especially close to his mother as he felt he needed to take care of her after his father, Larry, passed away.

Memorials may be made in Mr. Johnson’s memory to: Tama Community Church Building Fund, c/o Lower Muskogee Creek Tribe, 107 Tall Pine Drive, Whigham, Georgia 39897.

A Memorial Service will be held in the near future at the Clark Funeral Chapel and will be announced as soon as possible. At that time, the family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home.
