Jack Steven Shurley

Jack Steven Shurley, 73, of Cairo, GA, was born April 20, 1953, in Grady County, Georgia, and passed away surrounded by the love of his family. No services are planned at this time.

Jack was the son of the late Otis Shurley and Evelyn Anderson Shurley. In 1988, Jack married Deborah Dyous Shurley, and together they shared many years of marriage and family life. He spent his working years in the logging industry, where he was known for his hard work and dedication.

Jack is survived by his wife, Deborah Dyous Shurley of Cairo, GA; his sons, Raymond Duke Sellers of Cairo and Josh Shurley and his wife, Erica, of Cairo; his daughters, Heather Amoroso and her husband, Josh, and Crystal Johnson and her husband, Andrew, all of Cairo; 11 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, Bill Shurley of Cairo and James Clark of Florida.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Otis Shurley and Evelyn Anderson Shurley.

Jack will be remembered by his family and friends for the life he lived, the years he spent working hard to provide for his family, and the many memories they shared together. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
