Funeral services for Linda Ann Maddox, 80, of Cairo, GA, are at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, September 6, 2026, at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA. Pastor Johnny H. Moore will officiate. Services will conclude in the chapel. Private interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo, GA. Mrs. Maddox passed away at Archbold Living in Cairo, GA, on Thursday, September 3, 2026.
Honorary pallbearers will be James Myers, Ronald Owens, Billy Godwin, Wayne Morgan and Edward Connell.
Mrs. Maddox was born on October 13, 1945, in Thomasville, GA, to the late Walter Aubrey Owens and Wilma Pollock Owens. On March 9, 1970, she married James Percy Maddox, Jr. She attended Central High School in Thomasville, GA. She worked in the hospitality and retail industries until becoming full-time homemaker in 1990. She loved Jesus, her family, old TV shows, flowers, butterflies, gospel music, and Elvis. She was a member of Family Worship Center in Cairo.
Survivors include: her husband, James Percy Maddox, Jr. of Cairo, GA; children, Priscilla Myers (James) of Cairo, GA, Tina Maddox of Cairo, GA, Melissa Clark of Douglas, GA; grandchildren, Khloe Myers, Kiley Myers, Tyler Connell, and Eddie Connell of Cairo, GA, Sheldon Johnson of Clearlake, CA, Shelby Johnson of Hesperian, CA, Tiffani Vazquez of Douglas, GA, Jack Turner of Georgia, Stephen Turner of Georgia; several great-grandchildren; siblings, Ronald Owens of Thomasville, GA, Betty Donalson, Thomasville, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Walter and Wilma Owens; her children, Tracy Johnson and Cynthia Johnson; and siblings, Grace Anderson and David “Gene” Owens.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Sunday, September 6, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. The family will also receive friends at the home of James and Priscilla Myers over the weekend. Family and friends are invited to gather at their home after the funeral service.
