In Loving Memory of Shirley Ann Bryant – A Life of Faith, Love, and Music
Shirley Ann Bryant passed away on October 17, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. At the age of 89, Shirley leaves behind a beautiful legacy of faith, love, music, and compassion. Her life was a blessing to everyone who knew her, and her memory will forever be treasured by her family, friends, and church family.
For 43 years, Shirley faithfully served her church through her God-given gift of playing the piano. Music was more than something she did; it was a calling from God and a ministry of the heart. She dedicated countless hours to sharing her talent, playing for church services, weddings, funerals, and Christmas cantatas. Through every song and every note, she shared her faith and brought comfort, joy, and peace to those around her.
Her hands touched the piano keys, but her music touched the hearts of so many. She used the gift God had given her to serve the Lord and bless others. The hymns she played and the beautiful music she shared will forever remain a part of the memories she leaves behind.
Beyond her love for music and her devotion to God, Shirley had a heart full of compassion for animals. She especially loved dogs and rescued many throughout her life, giving them love, comfort, and a safe place to call home. Her kindness knew no bounds, and she showed that love could be found in the smallest acts of caring for another living soul.
Her greatest earthly treasures were her family. Shirley dearly loved her daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Alan Parks, her two grandchildren, Chad and Courtney, and her three great-grandchildren, Ally, MaKenna, and AnnaLee. They brought her joy, pride, and countless precious memories. The love she poured into her family will continue to live on through each of them and through the generations that follow.
Those Who Welcomed Her Home
Shirley was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Wendell “W.L.” Bryant; her daughter, Sandra Nan Clark; her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Melton; and her brother, Clark Melton.
Though her family grieves her passing, they can find comfort in knowing that Shirley is reunited with loved ones who went before her and is resting in the arms of her Heavenly Father.
A Promise of Peace
Shirley’s faith was the foundation of her life, and her family finds comfort in God’s promise in Revelation 21:4:
“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.”
Though she will be deeply missed, her family can take comfort in knowing that her earthly sorrows have ended and that she is at peace with the Lord she faithfully served throughout her life.
Shirley will be remembered every time a piano plays, every time a familiar hymn fills the air, and every time someone witnesses the unconditional love of an animal. Her faith, kindness, gentle heart, and dedication to serving others have left a lasting mark on the lives she touched.
After 43 years of filling the church with beautiful music, we can only imagine the beautiful song Shirley is playing in Heaven today, reunited with her loved ones and praising the Lord she served so faithfully.
Her earthly song has ended, but her heavenly song has just begun.
She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
Until we meet again.
