Dona Lee Robbins Polk, 78, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away at her home on Sunday, July 19, 2026. The family will have a private memorial service at a later time.

Mrs. Polk was born on February 2, 1948, in Hackensack, NJ, to the late Ulmont Robbins and Gladys Ackerman Robbins. She married Carroll Edward “Shorty” Polk, Sr., who preceded her in death on December 8, 2006. She retired as a weaver with Amoco Fabrics and Fibers in Bainbridge.

Survivors include: her children, Carroll “Eddie” Polk, Jr. of Donalsonville, GA, Travis Wayne Green of Bainbridge, GA; grandchildren, Marie Gilbert (John) of Brinson, GA, Beth Kelley of Bainbridge, GA, Marci Andrews of Donalsonville, GA, James Polk (Leigh) of Jakin, GA, Hunter Sanders (Dillon) of Slocomb, AL, Megan Salazar (Allen) of Donalsonville, GA; 19 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Dona Sinclair (Tom) of Helen, GA.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Carroll Edward “Shorty” Polk, Sr.; sons, James Polk and Monty Polk; grandchild, CJ Polk; and a great-grandchild, Jayden Polk.
