Memorial services for Sally Owen Whitfield, 76, of Cairo, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 15, 2026, at the First Baptist Church, Cairo, GA. Rev. Chris Allen will officiate. Mrs. Whitfield passed away at the Archbold-Wight Hospice Center in Thomasville, GA, on Tuesday, August 11, 2026.

Mrs. Whitfield was born on December 20, 1949, in Pelham, GA, to the late Reagan Gipson Owen and Edna Earl McCall Milton. On December 22, 1966, she married Wesley Chason Whitfield. They have been married 59 years. She retired as a sales representative from the IBM Corporation. She was a member of the Cairo First Baptist Church.

Survivors include: her husband, Wesley Chason Whitfield of Cairo, GA; daughters, Leisel W. Luman of Sarasota, FL, Natalia W. Burger of Thomasville, GA; grandchildren, Jasmine McKinnon (Bradley) of Pelham, GA, Gabriela Tudor (Devin) of Thomasville, GA, Michaela Walker (Hushel) of Cairo, GA, Emily Butler of Denver, CO, Abigail Luman of Albany, GA; great-grandchildren, Leia, Hudson, Nora, Kai, Hollin; sister, Reggie Ann (Davis) of Leesburg, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; and brothers, Kenneth Milton, Charles Owen.
