Richard Emmitt Allgyer

Graveside funeral services for Richard Emmitt Allgyer, 67, of Cairo, GA, are on Monday, November 23, 2020, in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Cairo, GA.  Mr. Allgyer passed away at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville, GA, on Friday, November 20, 2020.

Mr. Allgyer was born on July 31, 1953, in Warren, England, to the late Richard Allgyer and Frankie Jeffers Allgyer.  He retired as a truck driver with Williams Brothers Trucking.  He was of the Presbyterian faith.

Survivors include: his life partner of over 20 years, Debra Wood of Cairo, GA; sons, Lee Allgyer (Treasa) of Ravenna, OH, Derek Allgyer (Tiffany) of Streetsboro, OH; daughter, Makayla Swartz of Whigham, GA; grandchildren, Jacob Allgyer, Kaycee Cash, Jessica Cash, Nicole Nichols (Ray), Austin Cash, Alexis Allgyer, Axton Allgyer, all of Streetsboro, OH; great-grandchild, Zander Nichols; sister, Sharon Liggett (Paul) of Polk City, FL; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Leon Allgyer.
