Funeral services for Ralph Franklin Mitchell, 76, of Cairo, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 6, 2026, at the First Baptist Church, Cairo, GA. Rev. Chris Allen and Dr. Phil will officiate. Interment will be in Broome Cemetery, Reno, GA. Mr. Mitchell passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, November 4, 2026.

Active pallbearers will be Michael Mitchell, Eric Mitchell, Heath Brinson, Adam Brinson, Dave Mitchell and Joseph Brinson.

Mr. Mitchell was born on October 29, 1950, in Valdosta, GA, to the late Charlie Mitchell and Ruby Lee Mitchell. On November 22, 1969, he married Angela Merritt Mitchell. He was a retired welder in the construction industry. He was a member of Cairo First Baptist Church.

Survivors include: his wife, Angela Mitchell of Cairo, GA; children, Robbie Mitchell (Dana) of Cairo, GA, Julie Mitchell (Marie) of Cairo, GA; grandchildren, Quinn Mitchell, Kaitlyn Mitchell, Elaine Mitchell; siblings, Maxine Jarvis of Whigham, GA, Maddie Baggett (Steve) of Whigham, GA, Barbara Rash of Marianna, FL; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; and siblings, James Matchell, Rufus Mitchell, Johnny Mitchell, Ander Mitchell, Charles Mitchell, Frank Mitchell, Eric W. Mitchell, Bobby Mitchell, Alma Kinkaid, Virginia Lancaster, Julia Rogers and Annie Bailey.

The family will receive friends at the Fellowship Hall of the First Baptist Church on Friday, November 6, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
