James Larry Hatcher
November 27, 1947 – October 14, 2022

 

Funeral services for James Larry Hatcher, 74, of Whigham, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 21, 2022, at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA.  Rev. Bob Knight will officiate.  Services will conclude at the Chapel.  Private interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Whigham, GA.  Mr. Hatcher passed away at his daughters home in Panama City, FL, on Friday, October 14, 2022.    

Active pallbearers will be Allan Rayburn, Shane Kelly, Ron Reeves, James Kelly, Max Kelly and Earl Stuckey.  Honorary pallbearers will be member of Magnolia Baptist Church.  

Mr. Hatcher was born on November 27, 1947, in Thomasville, GA, to the late James Max Hatcher and Nettie Lee Long Hatcher.  He graduated from Whigham High School in1967.  He served his country in the United States Army.  Until his retirement he was a trucker.  He was a member of Magnolia Baptist Church in Whigham.  

Survivors include: his children, Lori A. Hogan (Ronnie) of Panama City, FL, Connie Ray High (Michael) of Cairo, GA, Candy Marie Harris (Carl) of Bainbridge, GA, Tara Lynn Jetter (James) of Hollywood, SC; step-children, Tammy Hilton of Hollywood, SC, Tony Flemming of FL, James Flemming of Thomasville, GA; grandchildren, Kevin Emory Baggett of the Armed Forces, Darren Baggett of Whigham, GA, Alex Williams of Whigham, GA, Bobby James Baggett of Whigham, GA, Denise Chitty (Alfonso) of Abbeville, AL, Bryce Harris of the Armed Forces, Kathy Harris of Bainbridge, GA, Kaleb High of Cairo, GA, Kory High of Whigham, GA; step-grandchildren, Christopher Jetter, Tori Jetter of Hollywood, SC, Ernest Hilton of Hollywood, SC; greatgrandchildren, Jayden Baggett, Jasmine Baggett, Riley Faircloth, Lilliam Chitty, Bentley Faircloth, Clint Baggett, Paisley Faircloth, Caroline Baggett, Jackson Jetter, Clayton Baggett, Brooklyn High, Maylea Jetter; sister, Maxine Rayburn (Allen) of Cairo, GA, Lynette Reeves (Ron) of Cairo, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.  

He was preceded in death by: his parents; and a grandson, Brandon Baggett.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Friday, October 21, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
