Evelyn Ezell Pyles

Funeral services for Evelyn Lucille Ezell Pyles, 92, of Cairo, GA, are on Wednesday, February 17, 2021, at the Cairo Church of God, Cairo, GA.  Pastor DeWayne Atkinson and Pastor Gary Holland will officiate.  Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo, GA.  Mrs. Pyles passed away at Thomasville Nursing and Rehab Center on Sunday, February 14, 2021.

Mrs. Pyles was born on September 2, 1928, in Cairo, GA, to the late Roy Ezell and Molly Butler Ezell.  In January of 1949, she married Ezra Pyles, who preceded her in death on February 19, 2013.  She was a homemaker and a member of Memorial Baptist Church.

Survivors include: son, Bobby Pyles (Shirley) of Cairo, GA; daughters, Carolyn Stephens (Billy) of Whigham, GA, Dorothy Merritt (Donnie) of Thomasville, GA; grandchildren, Robbie Pyles (Christina) of Cairo, GA, Mickey Pyles (Bridgette) of Cairo, GA, Chasidy Keyser (Josh) of Brimley, MI, B. J. Pyles (Leslie) of Cairo, GA, Brenda Wisham (Ronald) of Vada, GA, Billy Stephens, Jr. (Lynn) of Thomasville, GA, Donny Merritt (Stacey) of Cairo, GA, Mollie Merritt (Jim) of Thomasville, GA, Chris Pyles (Valorie) of Lebanon, TN; and 19 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband; son, Randall Pyles; and a brother, R. C. Ezell.
