Emmett Noah Ezell
August 12, 1929 – December 1, 2021

 Graveside funeral services for Emmett Noah Ezell, 92, of Cairo, GA, are at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, December 5, 2021, in Greenwood Cemetery, GA.  Rev. Chris Allen and Rev. William Hurst will officiate.  Mr. Ezell passed away at his home on Wednesday, December 1, 2021.

Mr. Ezell was born on August 12, 1929, in Whigham, GA, to the late Noah Ezell and Maggie Butler Ezell.  On December 22, 1951, he married Mary Bishop Ezell, who survives.  He served his country in the United States Army.  He was an active member of Gordon Heights Baptist Church.

Survivors include wife, Mary Bishop Ezell of Cairo, GA; daughter, Maryann Ezell Cook of Brunswick, GA; grandchildren, John R. Cook of Brunswick, GA, Anthony B. Cook of St. Simons Island, GA; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Dewitt Ezell and Charlie Ezell.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Sherry Jackson who was the caretaker for Mr. Ezell.
