Memorial services for Devon Thomas “Tommy” High, 36, of Cairo, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Capel Baptist Church, Cairo, GA. Rev. Stan Godwin will officiate. Mr. High passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2026.

Mr. High was born on February 26, 1989, in Thomasville, GA, to Charles Devon High and Rebecca Diane West Merritt. On May 20, 2011, he married Paula Marie White High, who passed away on February 12, 2026. He worked in construction.

Survivors include: his children, Bella Marie High of Thomasville, GA, Devon Thomas “DJ” High, Jr. of Cairo, GA; mother, Rebecca Merritt (Johnny) of Cairo, GA, father, Charles High (Melani Jo) of Cairo, GA; siblings, Christy Anglin (Brandan) of Thomasville, GA, Jessica Merritt of Cairo, GA; stepsisters and stepbrother, Mandy Williams (Steve) of Lavonia, GA, Gabby Smith (Brad) of Valdosta, GA, Bo William (Tiffany) of Cairo, GA; grandmother, Linda Tilley of Cairo, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

He was preceded in death by: his grandparents, Leroy and Julia West and Charles Wendell High; and his wife, Paula Marie High.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
