Funeral services for Brandon Ross Carter, 41, of Cairo, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 14, 2025, at Family Worship Center, Cairo, GA. Pastor Johnny H. Moore and Pastor Cliff Morris will officiate. Graveside interment will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 16, 2025, in New Home Baptist Church Cemetery, McKenzie, AL. Mr. Carter passed away at his mother’s home on Tuesday, November 11, 2025.

Active pallbearers will be Shannon Carter, Jordan Carter, TJ Carter, Mike Bell, TJ Rushing and Brandon Melvin.

Mr. Carter was born on February 11, 1984, in Cairo, GA, to David D. Carter, Jr. and Cindy L. Wade. He was an electrician working with the Florida State University Maintenance Department.

Brandon was a beloved friend to many. He enjoyed the outdoors, either fishing, hunting and riding motorcycles. Brandon loved movies and music. His nickname was “Catfish.”

Survivors include: his children, Jordan Carter (Annalise), TJ Carter, Kylee Carter, all of Cairo, GA; grandson, Drake Carter; father, David D. Carter, Jr. (Carolyn) of Holden, LA; mother, Cindy L. Wade of Cairo, GA; sibling, Shannon Carter (Kelly) of Hammond, LA, Ashley Carter (Mike Bell) of Panama City Beach, FL; grandparents, Lou Ann Carter of McKenzie, AL, Arthur Cleveland and Leslie Cleveland of Albany, LA, Denny Crabtree and Sue Crabtree of Sun Lakes, Arizona; one niece, Natalie; and pet niece and nephews and extended family.

He was preceded in death by: grandfather, David D. Carter Sr.; grandfather, James Ross Wade; bonus dad, Bobby Chason; and his memaw, Donna Davidson.

The family will receive friends immediately following the funeral service at Family Worship Center.
