Funeral services for Mary McClenney Meill, 97, of Cairo, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 25, 2026, at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA. Mrs. Meill passed away at Archbold Living in Cairo, GA, on Monday, September 21, 2026.

Mrs. Meill was born on May 1, 1929, in Cordele, GA, to the late John McClenney and Maxcy Comer McClenney. On June 26, 1971, she married Edward Adolf Meill, who preceded her in death on September 15, 1980. She was a retired educator with the Grady County Board of Education. She was of the Methodist faith.

Survivors include: her daughter, Maxcy McAteer (Bill) of Cairo, GA; grandchildren, Jessica Bennett (Shawn)of Tallahassee, FL, Jordan McAteer of Cairo, GA; great-grandchildren, Nickolas Merritt, Tanner Avery, Georgia Grace Avery, Merritt Avery, all of Tallahassee, FL, Randi Bennett of Tallahassee, FL; great-great-grandchild, Sophia Merritt, both of Tallahassee, FL; and nephews, Jonathan McClenney of Atlanta, GA, Jamie McClenney (Carolyn) of Tallahassee, FL.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; her son, Thomas McNeill; grandson, Billy McNeill; and her brother, John McClenney.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home immediately following the service.
