W. A. “Pat” Weaver
October 4, 1939 – August 6, 2022

Funeral services for W. A. “Pat” Weaver, 82, of Cairo, GA, are at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at The Bridge Community Church, Cairo, GA.  Rev. Steve Singletary and Rev. Jim Weaver will officiate.  Interment will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Cairo, GA.  Mr. Weaver passed away peacefully at his home in Cairo, GA, on Saturday, August 6, 2022.

Active pallbearers will be Joe Morgan, Jonathan Tarin, Joshua McDonald, Drew Morgan, Ryan Connell and Mark Ponder.  Honorary pallbearers will be Hudson Tarin, Johnny Mac Butler, all Co-workers of American General Life Insurance, all members of GHSA Umpires Association and Grady County Recreation umpires.

Mr. Weaver was born on October 4, 1939, in Newton, GA, to the late Peyton Keyton and Zelma Norman Weaver.  On June 15, 1973, he married Miriam “Millie” Hudson, who survives.  Pat sold insurance for 50 years with American General and Independent Life Insurance Companies, where he received numerous honors and accolades for his work. He served as a two-term city councilman for the city of Cairo. He coached Pee-Wee football and Little League baseball and was an umpire for GHSA and the Grady County Rec Department for over 20 years.

Pat loved his family, playing golf, going to the mountains, Georgia Bulldogs, making others laugh and especially eating real banana pudding. He was member of The Bridge Community Church, where he loved serving the Lord and his church family.

Survivors include: his wife, Millie H. Weaver of Cairo, GA; his children, Greg Connell (Gail), Tifton, GA, April Morgan (Joe), Cairo, GA, Cyndi Tarin (Jonathan), Cairo, GA; grandchildren, Faith Connell (Justin), Hope Smith (Justin), Ryan Connell, Glenda Morgan, Joshua McDonald, Drew Morgan, Rhylie Tarin and Hudson Tarin; great grandchildren, Elijah Reid, John, Alyssa, Malaki, Donnie and Avery Grace; brothers, Joe Weaver, Newton, GA, John Weaver, Pelham, GA and Ray Weaver, Thomasville GA; Sister, Inez McMullan, (Paul), Thomasville, GA and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Sally Parker and Elizabeth Drawdy; brother, Robert Weaver; grandchildren, Daniel Brady and Brenda Morgan.

A special Thank You is extended to Bethany Hospice for their services and support.

The family will receive friends following the committal services.
