Marjorie Lodge Williams

Funeral services for Marjorie Lee Lodge Williams, 82, of Cairo, GA, are at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Pelham, GA.  Rev. Ed Green will officiate.  Interment will be in Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery, Pelham, GA.  Mrs. Williams passed away at her home on Saturday, January 21, 2023.

Mrs. Williams was born on December 15, 1940, in Pelham, GA, to the late Hubert Lee Lodge and Lois Ulmer Lodge.  On December 14, 1962, she married Jason Eugene “Gene” Williams, who survives.  She retired from Pelham City Schools as a cafeteria worker.  Her family lovingly called her “Flossie.”  Marjorie was dedicated in her Christian faith and a devoted member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church.  She was dedicated to the WMU, Vacation Bible School and the choir.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and Marjorie was married to the most loving and dedicated husband of 60 years.

Survivors include: her husband, Jason Eugene “Gene” Williams of Cairo, GA; children, Travis Williams (Angela) of Cairo, GA, Vincent Williams (Terry) of Cairo, GA, Sheila Bryan (Ricky) of Doerun, GA; grandchildren, Jami Solomon (Allen) of Cairo, GA, Jami Robinson (Brandon) of Cairo, GA, Lindsay Brown (Joseph) of Pine Mountain Valley, GA, Morgan Orr (Billy) of Thomasville, GA, Jaret Bryan of Doerun, GA; great-grandchildren, Ethan Anderson of Cairo, GA, Kinsley Solomon of Cairo, GA, Carson Conrad of Cairo, GA, Makinley Conrad of Cairo, GA, Aria Conrad of Cairo, GA, Braylon Robinson of Cairo, GA, Taylor Robinson of Cairo, GA, Turner Orr of Thomasville, GA, Connor Orr of Thomasville, GA; brother, John “Bud” Lodge (Connie) of Thomasville, GA, sisters, Betty Johnson (Fred) of Pelham, GA, Linda Godwin (Tony) of Pelham, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorials may be made in Mrs. Williams’ memory to Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.

The family will receive friends at Mt. Olive Baptist Church on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.
