James Ronald Jenkins, Sr.

Funeral services for James Ronald Jenkins, Sr., 79, of Cairo, GA, are at 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 4, 2019, at Midway Baptist Church, Cairo, GA. Rev. Johnny Burdick and Rev. Chris Allen will officiate. Services will conclude at the church. Private interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo, GA. Mr. Jenkins passed away at Grady General Hospital in Cairo, GA, on Friday, November 1, 2019.

Active pallbearers will be Zack Jenkins, Dusty “Dustman” Jenkins, A. J. Zuniga, Mitch Cutchens, Chad Stevens, and John Jenkins.

Mr. Jenkins was born on July 20, 1940, in Calvary, GA, to the late James Lonzo Jenkins and Karlene Jones Jenkins. On July 19, 1958, he married Minnie Ruth Lindsey Jenkins, who survives. They were married for 61 years. He was a truck driver earlier in his career. Later he was the owner and operator of Johnny’s Auto Sales. He attended Midway Baptist Church.

Survivors include: his wife, Minnie Ruth Lindsey Jenkins of Cairo, GA; sons, James Jenkins, Jr. (Vicki) of Cairo, GA, John R. “Rusty” Jenkins (Connie) of Cairo, GA, Gerald Lamar “Jerry” Jenkins of Cairo, GA; son-in-law, Craig Cutchens of Cairo, GA; grandchildren, Jennifer Woodward (Shawn) of Cairo, GA, Caitlin Suddarth (Tyler) of Cairo, GA, Zack Jenkins of Cairo, GA, Dusty “Dustman” Jenkins (Ciara) of Athens, GA, Ashley Williams of Cairo, GA, John Jenkins (Erica) of Tallahassee, FL, Christina Lee Jenkins of Cairo, GA, James Ronnie “Little James” Jenkins (Bridgette) of Cairo, GA, Heather Glover of Cairo, GA, Racheal Barrineau of Cairo, GA, Sommer Stevens (Chad) of Cairo, GA, Mitchell Cutchens (Gloria) of Cairo, GA; great-grandchildren, Carmen, A.J., Shelby, Tylan, Cooper, Palmer, Jamie, Christian, Chloe, Tate, Thea; brothers, Johnny Jenkins (Evelyn) of Cairo, GA; sisters, Gwen Ann West of Coolidge, GA, Lowette Nehls (Bill) of Thomasville, GA, Peggy Hall (Barry) of Rocky Mountain, NC, Cindy Sheridan of Thomasville, GA; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; daughter, Denise Cutchens; daughter-in-law, Juanita McCurley; and a brother, Micky Jenkins.

The family will receive friends at Midway Baptist Church on Monday, November 4, 2019, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
