Jackie Sadler Poitevint
January 16, 1952 – July 23, 2022

Funeral services for Jackie Elaine Sadler Poitevint, 70, of Cairo, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA.  Rev. Ed Green and Ellis Richardson will officiate.  Interment will be in Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery, Vada, GA at 1:00 p.m. following the service.  Mrs. Poitevint passed away at her home on Saturday, July 23, 2022.

Active pallbearers will be Dylan Harper, Colton Ferrell, Bailey Ferrell, Jackson Uresti, Brandon Phelps and Clay Wells.

Mrs. Poitevint was born on January 16, 1952, in Camilla, GA, to the late L. B. Sadler and Margaret Singleton Dodson.  On June 23, 1981, she married Duane Poitevint, who survives.  She was a licensed cosmetician for several years.  Later she and her husband owned and operated Poitevint’s County Store on 112 North in Cairo.  She served her community with love and food and treated her customers as family.  She loved to laugh and always had a smile.  Jackie loved her girls and all her grandchildren.  She was a member of Capel Baptist Church.

Survivors include: her husband, Duane Poitevint of Cairo, GA; children, Michelle Richardson (Ellis) of Cairo, GA, Jodi Brock of Cairo, GA, Kimberley Uresti of Pearland, TX, Rhonda Wells (Jay) of Colquitt, GA, Renee Adams (Stephen) of Flowery Branch, GA;  grandchildren, Dylan Harper (Theda) of Birmingham, AL, Bailey Ferrell (Brit) of Ft. Stewart, GA, Colton Ferrell of Cairo, GA, Peyton Phelps (Brandon) of Cairo, GA, Maryellis Richardson of Cairo, GA, Jackson Uresti of Pearland, TX, Bella Uresti of Pearland, TX, Hayden Adams of St. Louis, MO, Colby Adams of San Diego, CA, Clay Wells of Elberton, GA, Caroline Wells of Colquitt, GA, Cade Wells of Colquitt; great-grandchildren, Nicholas Harper, Little Joe Ferrell, Brayden Phelps, Bowen Phelps; sister, Angela Hawthorne (James) of Whigham, GA, Machone Wisham (Frankie) of Vada, GA; brother, Kirk Sadler (Lacia) of Vada, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; sister, Diane Sizemore; and a grandson, T. J. Ferrell.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home, on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
