William Charles Houck

Memorial services for William Charles Houck, 74, of Cairo, GA, are postponed due to an illness in the family. Mr. Houck passed away at PruittHealth-Crestwood in Valdosta, GA, on Wednesday, May 27, 2025.

Mr. Houck was born on September 28, 1950, in Quincy, FL, to the late Edward Houck, Sr. and Evelyn Nunn Houck. On Dec. 22, 1995, he married Lynda Brinkley Houck. They were married for over 29 years. He retired from the Bus Transportation Department of the Grady County Board of Education.

Survivors include: his wife, Lynda Houck of Cairo, GA; stepchildren, Ramonda Brock (Brian) of Vada, GA, Anthony Sellers (Shantell) of Michigan; grandchildren, Rob Sellers, Austin Sellers, Haiven Sellers; great-grandchildren, Nicholas Sellers, Nora Sellers; brother, Edward Houck (Bonnie); sister, Francis Whittaker; sister-in-law, Michelle W. Houck; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; grandchild, Cameron Brock; brother, Tommy Houck; sisters, Gail Houck, Linda Oliver; and a niece, Karen Whittaker.

The family wants to send a special thank you to the Staff of PruittHealth in Valdosta for the loving care extended to Mr. Houck.
