Walter Tyler Maxwell
November 3, 1945 – March 28, 2022

Memorial services for Walter Tyler Maxwell, 76, of Calvary, GA, are at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, March 31, 2022, at Family Worship Center, Cairo, GA.  Pastor Johnny H. Moore will officiate.  Mr. Maxwell passed away at his home on Monday, March 28, 2022.

Mr. Maxwell was born on November 3, 1945, in Calvary, GA, to the late Holmes Maxwell and Anneberg Maxwell.  Tyler was a graduate of the University of Georgia with a degree in Agronomy and served his country in the United States Air Force as a C130 pilot.  On June 16, 1973, he married Nila Arndt Maxwell, who survives.  He worked in agriculture most of his life on the farm where he was born and raised.  He was of the Christian faith.

Survivors include: his wife, Nila Maxwell of Calvary, GA; his children, Andrea Maxwell of Calvary, GA, Eric Maxwell (Tiffany) of Woodstock, GA; grandchildren, Sophia Maxwell, Elsa Maxwell, Brennen Maxwell, Everett Maxwell, Brecken Maxwell; sisters, Annette Lodge (Frank) of Calvary, GA, Nancy Van Tone (Jeff) of Bishop, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.  He was preceded in death by his parents.
