Walter Daniel Brady

Funeral services for Walter Daniel Brady, 65, of Calvary, GA, are at 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 4, 2017, at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA. Rev. William B. Hurst, Jr. and Rev. Ricky Pollock will officiate. Interment with Military Honors will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Cairo, GA. Mr. Brady passed away at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital, Tallahassee, FL, on Thursday, August 31, 2017.

Active pallbearers will be his nephews: Lee Brady, Lee Johnson, Jeremy Johnson, Michael Johnson, Trey Gainous and Tommy Gainous.

Mr. Brady was born on November 16, 1951, in Cairo, GA, to the late Hubert Lee Brady and Mary Marie Keene Brady. He served his country in the United States Navy. On August 6, 1994, he married Becky Jo Boland Brady, who survives. Walter was an ordained minister. He pastored at First Freewill Baptist Church and Full Gospel Chapel in Cairo, GA and Macedonia Freewill Baptist Church in Monticello, FL. Walter retired from ITT and Stanadyne. He worked with Walgreens and was currently a bus driver with the Grady County School System.

Survivors include: wife, Becky Jo Brady of Calvary, GA; sons, Richard “Daniel” Brady of Tifton, GA, Joseph “Shane” Brady of Tifton, GA, Sean “Tyler” Brady of Tifton, GA; daughters, Hope Danyelle Brady of Tifton, GA, Faith Morgan Connell (Justin) of Tifton, GA; grandchildren, Elijah Reid White and Avery Grace Connell, both of Tifton, GA; brother, Bobby Lee Brady of Cairo, GA; sisters, Annie Elizabeth Jamerson (Charles) of Pelham, GA, Patricia Lynn Gainous (David) of Cairo, GA; step-sisters, Krista Carter (Ricky) of Thomasville, GA, Helen Sellers (Bobby) of Cairo, GA; step-brother, Sonny Hewett of Thomasville, GA; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; step-father, Troy Hewett; sister-in-law, Rebecca Kay Brady; and a niece, Jessica Lynn Hurst.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Sunday, September 3, 2017, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
