Mr. Hall was born on July 5, 1942, in Climax, GA, to the late John Harvey Hall and Lillie Mae Lynn Hall. Tommy is the 11th child of his parents and the 11th child to pass away. Tommy was married to the love of his life, Pearl Hancock Hall. They were married on December 21, 1962, in Donaldsonville, GA. They were married for 62 1/2 years and lived in Cairo the entire time. He was the owner of Hall Sand Company and was in business for over 50 years. Tommy was a member of Gordon Heights Baptist Church in Cairo.
Tommy loved his family, friends, horses, and gardening. He grew beautiful roses and was known for keeping his yards immaculate. He loved sitting on his screened porch and watching the birds at the feeder. During the winter months, he loved a fire in his wood burning heater. He loved his work and all his heavy equipment. Tommy was a people person, and he enjoyed calling and talking on the phone when he was unable to drive any more. He was a one-of-a-kind person. In his younger years, he would tell it like it was whether you liked it or not; however, he mellowed in his later years and was a great Christian man who loved his pastor and his church family.
