Shelah Armeé Sweat Burdette, 49, of Albany, GA, passed away at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, GA, on Friday, March 6, 2026. The family will have a private memorial service.

Ms. Burdette was born on March 13, 1976, in Albany, GA, to the late Daniel Gordon “DG” Sweat and Jeanne Brown Sweat. She was a registered nurse. Shelah’s two children were her pride and joy. Just the mention of their names always brought a smile to her face. Her family and loved ones choose to remember their happier times and memories with Shelah.

Survivors include: her mother, Jeanne B. Sweat of Cairo, GA; her children, Brantley Armeé Burdette of Albany, GA, Beau Lanier Burdette of Albany, GA; father of her children, Brian Earl Burdette of Albany, GA; sisters, Shanda Pyrz (Drew) of Cairo, GA, Susan Sweat of Cairo, GA; nephews, Koby Pyrz (Katie) of Athens, GA, Eli Pyrz of Columbus, GA, Cade Culbreath of Cairo, GA; and a great niece, Wyatt Pyrz of Athens, GA.

She was preceded in death by her father, Daniel Gordon “DG” Sweat.
