Sandra Georgette Pearce Ansley

Memorial services for Sandra Georgette Pearce Ansley, 69, of Cairo, GA, are at 2:00 p.m., Monday, August 4, 2025, at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel, Cairo, GA. Pastor Teddy Williamson will officiate. Mrs. Ansley passed away at South Georgia Medical Center, Valdosta, GA, on Thursday, July 31, 2025.

Mrs. Ansley was born on December 16, 1955, in Cairo, GA, to the late James Leland Pearce and Lela Joyce Whitfield Pearce. She was retail invoice clerk at Walmart in Cairo.

Her daughter, Nicole said, “My momma was one of the sweetest souls you could ever meet. She loved with everything in her. She wanted everyone happy. It didn’t matter who you were or what your past consisted of, what you had did or the color of your skin, all she saw was a person and if she could help you, she would. She wasn’t your average woman. She did a lot of things I didn’t understand nor did anyone else but that’s who she was. Full of love and a heart of freedom to love you for who you are and where you are. She now spreads her wings and flies away, as the angel she is and always has been.”

Survivors include: her mother, Lela Joyce Pearce of Cairo, GA; daughter, Nicole Maples of Pelham, GA; son, Billy Hester of Cairo, GA; grandchildren, Dean Austin (Kristy) of Cairo, GA, Ty Thomas of Cairo, GA, Kelian Hester of Thomasville, GA, Flynt Hester of Sumatra, FL, Aden Austin, Abbey Austin; brother, Everrett Pearce (Chris) of Cairo, GA; nephew, Colin Pearce of Cairo, GA; and a special friend, William Harris of Monticello, FL.

She was preceded in death by her father.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home immediately following the service.
