Rose Nell Walsh Strickland
March 8, 1930 – September 28, 2018

Memorial services for Rose Nell Strickland, 88, of Cairo, GA, formerly of Concord, FL, are at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 2, 2018, at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA. Pastor Mike Allan will officiate. Services will conclude at the chapel. Interment will be in Concord Cemetery, Concord, FL. Mrs. Strickland passed away at Camellia Gardens of Life Care in Thomasville, GA, on Friday, September 28, 2018.

Mrs. Strickland was born on March 8, 1930, in Gadsden County, FL, to the late Ferdinand Walsh and Cora Poppell Walsh. She worked in retail sales and later retired from Elite Repeats Consignments. She always looked forward to baking for the Concord Cemetery Chicken Pilau each year. Rose loved to fish and garden. She was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include: her children, Don and Wanda Moore of Hoschton, GA, Sharon and Henry Brewer of Cairo, GA, Ann Spears of Crawfordville, FL; daughter-in-law, Linda Moore of Tallahassee, FL; grandchildren, Cecil and Eleni Spears of Tallahassee, FL, Vernon Spears of Crawfordville, FL, Kenneth and Rot Licec Brewer of the Philippines, Rachel and Dan Nordby of Tallassee, FL, Henry and Suzanne Brewer of Valdosta, GA, Julia and Greg Baker of Panama City, FL, John and Ashley Moore of Tallahassee, FL, Clayton Moore of Tallahassee, FL, Don Moore, Jr. of Ringgold, GA, Tanatha Sconyers of Hoschton, GA, Kimberly and Glenn Stovall of Athens, GA; 14 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Jenny Shores of Thomasville, GA.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; father of her children, Vernon C. Moore; son, Burl Moore; grandson, Hunter Spears; and brothers, Robert Walsh, Lewis Walsh.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home immediately following the memorial service.
