Robert Lamar Harrell

Funeral services for Robert Lamar Harrell, 86, of Cairo, GA, are at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, November 6, 2025, at the First Baptist Church, Cairo, GA. Rev. Chris Allen will officiate. Private family interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo, GA. Mr. Harrell passed away at his home on Sunday, November 2, 2025.

Active pallbearers will be Palmer Harrell, Taylor Booth, Sub Biswas, Kevin Barraza, Ricky Powe and Jim Carver. Honorary pallbearers will be Ricky Harrell and Bo Harrell.

Mr. Harrell was born on May 15, 1939, in Cairo, GA, to the late Donald Raymond Harrell and Nellie Murkerson Harrell. He served his country in the National Guard. On August 1, 1964, he married Annette Carter Harrell. They were married for over 61 years. He retired from the Georgia Department of Transportation. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cairo.

Survivors include: his wife, Annette C. Harrell of Cairo, GA; sons, Todd Harrell (Becky) of Cairo, GA, Timothy Lamar Harrell (Salve) of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Bethany Biswas (Sub) of Atlanta, GA, Gillian Harrell (Kevin) of Atlanta, GA, Haddyn Harrell of Statesboro, GA, Palmer Todd Harrell of Cairo, GA; brother, Raymond Harrell (Flo) of Cairo, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, Donald and Nellie Harrell; grandchildren, Christopher Harrell, Kylie Rae Harrell; and a sister, Betty Sue H. Mathis.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
