Oman Dennis Rackley

Funeral services for Oman Dennis Rackley, 75, of Donalsonville, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA. Rev. Jean Watson and Rev. Robert Crapps will officiate. Military Honors will be presented at the Chapel. Services will conclude at the church. Private interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo, GA. Mr. Rackley passed away at his home on Friday, May 30, 2025.
Active pallbearers will be Jimmy Atkinson, Brad Rackley, Jason Rackley, Brian Matthews, Jimmy Hayward and P.J. Green.
Mr. Rackley was born on April 1, 1950, in Cairo, GA, to the late Oman Hill Rackley and Mary Reba Harrison Rackley. He served his country in the United States Army in Vietnam. On February 23, 2019, he married Sandy Cliett Rackley. He retired as Business Maintenance Technician with Winn-Dixie and Archbold Memorial Hospital. He was of the Baptist faith.
Dennis is one of eight children. He and his wife, Sandy, were blessed with many loving children and grandchildren. Dennis lived most of his life in Grady County. He was a talented carpenter. He enjoyed tending his spring vegetable garden. He realized later in life that he was pretty good at golf and enjoyed playing when he could.
Survivors include: his wife, Sandy C. Rackley of Donalsonville, GA; children, Dustin Rackley of Whigham, GA, Rachel Owens (Dylan) of Whigham, GA, Cristie Bertrand (Winston) of Wesley Chapel, FL, Melissa Mancill (Tony) of Vancouver, WA, Wesley Chapel, FL, Carissa Walker (Matt) of Cairo, GA; daughter-in-law, Brooke Rackley of Whigham, GA; grandchildren, Evan Gainous of Whigham, GA, Logan Gainous of Whigham, GA, Shyloh Owens of Whigham, GA, Pyper Owens of Havana, FL, GA, Braxten Ansley of Whigham, GA, Daisy Ansley of Whigham, GA, Lana Walker of Cairo, GA, Lilly Walker of Cairo, GA, Finley Walker of Cairo, GA; siblings, Joel Rackley (Cassandra) of Donalsonville, GA, Keith Rackley (Michelle) of Cairo, GA, Diane Matthews (David) of Tallahassee, FL, Debra Atkinson (Jimmy) of Bainbridge, GA, Dea Rackley of Pahoa, HI (Rocky), Reda Smith (Alan) of Carmel Valley, CA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Oman and Reba Rackley; brother, Kendall O’Neal Rackley; and a grandson, Nathan Mancill.
