Mary White Sellers
September 11, 1934 – January 26, 2021

Mrs. Mary W. Sellers, 86, of Cairo, GA passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2021, at her residence.  Mrs. Sellers was born September 11, 1934 in Whigham, GA.  She married William Louis Sellers on July 29, 1949.  A homemaker and active member of Pine Level Baptist Church, she was also a member of the Cairo Chapter of the Eastern Star until it dismantled.

After raising her family, she chose to share her love of children with many in the Pine Level and surrounding area.  She was known to countless children as “Ms. Mary” and enjoyed keeping many until her retirement.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband; a brother, Hiram Gene White of Vista, California; a daughter and son-in-law, Shelia S. Wight Hogan and Jimmy; and a son-in-law, Leighton Sadler.  She is survived by: three sons, William H. Sellers (Mona) of Smith Station, AL, Hubert D. Sellers of Cairo, GA, Glenn S. Sellers (Lisa) of Griffin, GA; two daughters, Jullie S. Moody (Danny) of Cornelia, GA and Debbie S. Sadler of Valdosta, GA; grandchildren, Christopher Wilkerson of Gaffney, SC, Ashley W. Ferguson of Maceo, KY, Jamie Sellers of Tifton, GA, Jody Sellers of Griffin, GA, Jacee Sellers of Atlanta, GA, Maelee Sellers of Cairo, GA, and Louis Sellers of Griffin, GA; and three great-grandchildren, Kaylee Willis, Jalyn and Hunter Ferguson, all of Maceo, KY.

Due to the pandemic and the love and concern for others, a family graveside service will be held on Friday, January 29, 2021, in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo, GA with Rev. Jim Weaver officiating.
