Funeral services for Mary Bowles Powe, 92, of Cairo, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA. Pastor Johnny H. Moore will officiate. Services will conclude at the chapel. Private interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo, GA. Ms. Powe passed away at her home on Friday, June 20, 2025.

Ms. Powe was born on March 27, 1933, in Pelham, GA, to the late Johnnie Bowles and Mae Florence Carter Bowles. She retired as a florist after working with several floral and gift shops in Cairo.

Mary was an inspiring woman with many talents. She was a giver and loved helping people. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed. Mary was a talented floral designer, avid gardener, amazing cook, and photographer. Additionally, she loved crocheting and crafting. Her family described her as, “being able to do anything.”

Survivors include: her son, Sheldon Powe of Cairo, GA; grandchildren, Bridget Pyles (Micky) of Cairo, GA, Dexter Morris (Samantha) of Cairo, GA; great-grandchildren, Haley Bentley (Trey) of Pelham, GA, Naomi Morris of Cairo, GA, Nyla Morris, Nadia Morris, both of Whigham, GA; great-great-grandchild, Ny’Meara Morris of Cairo, GA; niece, Rita Thomas of Thomasville, GA; nephew, Randy Johnson of Cairo, GA; and : longest primary care giver, Marsha Dollar, and special care givers, Mary Murry and Jackie Davis.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, daughter, Wenndy Morris, daughter-in-law Diana Powe, sister, Bernice Johnson, and niece, Claudette Collins.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Tuesday June 24, 2025, following the service.
