Kenneth Bryan Butler
November 12, 1941 – March 15, 2024

Funeral services for Kenneth Bryan Butler, 82, of Cairo, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at Hilltop Bible Baptist Church, Cairo, GA.  Rev. Kenneth Cloud will officiate.  Services will conclude at the church.  Private interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo, GA.  Mr. Butler passed away at his home on Friday, March 15, 2024.

Active pallbearers will be Jackie Williams, LeVerne Whigham, Randall McGlamery, Chuck Stafford, Bobby Williams and Randy Holton.

Mr. Butler was born on November 12, 1941, in Cairo, GA, to the late Lawson Butler and Katie Bell Butler.  He was a dedicated lifetime farmer.

Survivors include: children, Tonya Robinson (Ed) of Cairo, GA, Todd Bishop of Tallahassee, FL, Kim Atwood of Jefferson City, MO, Kendra Butler of Bainbridge, GA; grandchildren, Hanna Powe of Athens, GA, Joshua Robinson of Athens, GA, Mollie Robinson of Thomasville, GA, Grace Atwood and Alden Atwood, both of Jefferson City, MO; great-grandchild, Jaden Atwood of Jefferson, City, MO; niece, Kaye Smith (Buddy) of Cairo, GA; nephews, Bryan Gibson (Cindy) of Cairo, GA, Eddie Gibson (Teri); and a host of extended family.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; his wife, Sharon Johnson Butler, who preceded him in death on November 23, 2022; sister, Sue Gibson; and brothers, Milan Thorsby, Robert Thorsby.

Memorials may be made in Mr. Butler’s memory to: Hilltop Bible Baptist Church, 110 17th Ave NW, Cairo, GA 39828.

The family wants to extend their love and gratitude for the care given to Mr. Butler by Mary Murray, Gilber “Little Bit” Shelton, Kim Hubbard and Kim Edwards.

The family will receive friends at Hilltop Bible Baptist Church immediately following the funeral service.
