Kathryn Sue Landis
May 7, 1964 – September 8, 2026

Kathryn “Kathy” Sue Landis, 62, passed away on September 8, 2026, at her home in Thomasville, Georgia. There are no services planned at this time.

She graduated high school in 1982 from John F. Kennedy High School in Bloomington, MN. She graduated from the University of South Florida in 1988 with a major in Special Education. She was a Special Education teacher in Central Florida for 12 years. After that she worked in youth programs for several different churches. Due to personal health reasons, she retired and moved in with her parents to help take care of them until their deaths in 2022.

Kathy was an avid crafter, loved USF Bulls football, and watching professional wrestling.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Linda Landis of Ocala, Fl. She is survived by her sister, Robin Landis of Ruskin FL, her sister, Amy Carter (Miles) of Cairo GA, and her nieces and nephews, Sarah Hamilton (Josh) of Valdosta GA, Thomas Carter of Lincolnton NC, Robert Carter of Powell TN, Virginia Carter of Jacksonville NC, and Victoria Carter of Thomasville GA.
