Journi Alizaya was born into the world on July 16, 2025. Journi only spent a moment in the arms of her mother, Kendall Burnsed, but she will forever remain in her heart. Journi was born sleeping at 6:20 a.m. She weighed 1 pound, 10 ounces and was 12 inches long.

Survivors include: her mother, Kendall Burnsed of Cairo, GA; her father, Nicholas Smith of Cairo, GA; grandmother, “Meme,” Dixie Stewart of Cairo, GA; grandfather, John Sexton of Moultrie, GA; great-grandfather, “Papa”, Ralph Martinucci of Cairo, GA; uncle, Sean Burnsed (Mina) of Wesley Chapel, FL; aunt, Brittany Guerrero of Cairo, GA; aunt, Brooke Johnson of Cairo, GA, aunt, Andrea Granger (Charles) of Tallahassee, FL; Godmother, Erica Vicks of Cairo, GA; cousins, Victoria Briscoe, Jaiden Mathis, Kamari Mathis, Zuri Guerrero, Landon Johnson and Tylin Johnson, all of Cairo, GA, Tyler Wynn of Tallahassee, FL; and a host of extended family.

She is preceded in death by her maternal great-grandmother, Judy Martinucci and her maternal great-grandfather, William “Jerry” Burnsed.
