Jimmy Lawerence Singletary

Funeral services for Jimmy Lawerence Singletary, 78, of Cairo, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Pine Hill Holliness Church, 2716 Lower Hawthorne Trail, Cairo, GA 39828. Pastor Lillie Powell will officiate. Mr. Singletary passed away at Thomasville Health & Rehabilitation on Thursday, September 25, 2025.

Mr. Singletary was born on January 19, 1947, in Thomasville, GA, to the late Clyde Singletary and Mary Lois Joyner Singletary. He served his country in the United States Army. He retired as a service representative with Walmart. He was a member of Pine Hill Holiness Church in Cairo.

Jimmy was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting. He loved attending church and family events. He was a song leader at his church for more than 20 years. He was a gentle soul, easy-going and never got in a hurry. He often talked about being a Forest Ranger or Country Music Singer. He had a deep relationship with God and attended church faithfully!

Survivors include: his daughter, Lisa Marie Singletary of Cairo, GA; grandsons, Tedderick, Sean, both of Cairo, GA; siblings, Les Singletary of Ruston, LA, Clyde Kenneth Singletary of Cairo, GA, Johnny Singletary of Tallahassee, FL, Gloria Chester of Quincy, FL, Rose Singletary of Whigham, GA; the mother of Lisa, Susan Ann Stark Singletary; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Patsy Ruff Singletary.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church.
