Jeanette Perry Gandy

Funeral services for Jeanette Perry Gandy, 91, of Cairo, GA, are at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 10, 2021, at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA. Rev. Christy Bandy will officiate. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo, GA. Mrs. Gandy passed away at Magnolia Place Senior Living in Cairo, GA, on Wednesday, July 7, 2021.
Mrs. Gandy was born on July 2, 1930, in Cairo, GA, to the late John Perry and Eunice Holton Perry. On July 25, 1948, she married Bobby Austin Gandy, who preceded her in death on February 15, 2004. She retired as office manager from Seven Santini Brothers. Jeanette enjoyed being very active in community services which included The Lady’s Auxiliary North Shore Hospital in Miami, Wednesday night dinners and childrens’ ministries at F.U.M.C. and an active member of Golden Kiwanis of Cairo. She was a member of the Cairo First United Methodist Church and Bold Springs United Methodist Church.
Survivors include: daughters, Jacqueline Livingston (Gary) of Tallahassee, FL, Janet Gandy (Brian Rich) of Jupiter, FL; grandchildren, Alexander Torelli of Lake Worth, FL, Kathryn Torelli (David Robinson) of Chester, VA, Amanda Livingston of Tallahassee, FL; great-grandchildren, Tyler Torelli of Clearwater, FL, Vivianna Torelli of Anchorage, AK, Cassia Torelli of Chester, VA, Olivia Robinson of Chester, VA; sisters, Susie Moretti (Bruno) of Cooper City, FL, Dorothy Barrett of Cairo, GA; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; and a brother, Rogers Perry.
Memorials may be made in Mrs. Gandy’s memory to: First United Methodist Church, 318 South Broad Street, Cairo, GA 39828; or Integrity Hospice, 303 E. Shotwell, Bainbridge, GA 39819.
The family would like to extend a special Thank You to the staff of Magnolia Place, the nurses of Integrity Hospice and all of her sitters who took gentle care of our mom, “Jeanette.”
The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home the hour prior to the service.
