Janice Marie Westberg
August 23, 1950 – June 12, 2025

Janice Marie Westberg passed from this life on June 12, 2025. Janice was born in Mt. Sterling, IL to Leeroy and Wilma Ward Behymer.
Active pallbearers will be Andy Westberg, Terry Westberg, Rusty Bell, Devon Green, James Hucks and Jaffri Vivas.
Janice was a graduate of Tennessee Temple University in Chattanooga, TN and she earned her degrees as Education Specialist and Master of Education from Albany State University. Janice taught elementary school for many years at North Florida Christian School. She devoted her remaining years serving as a teacher and instructional coordinator at Washington Middle School and Northside Elementary. After 40+ years in education, Janice enjoyed retirement, spending time with family and church friends.
Janice was a faithful member of Hilltop Bible Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and sang in the choir. She was a wonderful example of Chrisian love for her many students and Christian friends. She has left a legacy of love for her seven grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Janice is survived by her husband of 53 years, Gary T. Westberg of Cairo, GA; and children, Andrew Westberg of Valdosta, GA, Sarah Everett of Cairo, GA; grandchildren, Alex Bishop of Pelham, GA, Devon Green of Ochlocknee, Ga, Abby Grubb of Cairo, GA, Brooke Caratachea of Cairo, GA, Terry Westberg of DeFuniak Springs, FL, Lesley Green of Cairo, GA, Lauren Everett of Cairo, GA; great-grandchildren, Jaxson, Colton, Sawyer and Auggie. Janice is also survived by her brother, David Behymer of Rushville, IL and two sisters, Charlotte Koch of Mt. Sterling, IL, Sue Henry of Bowen, IL. Janice also cherished her deceased brother, Terry Behymer.
A Celebration of Life Service will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at Hilltop Bible Baptist Church, 110 17th Ave. NW, Cairo, GA. Rev. Kenneth Cloud will officiate. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, 418 Eleventh Ave. NW, Cairo, GA.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Monday, June 16, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.
