James Lewis Kelley

James Lewis Kelley, 89, of Cairo, GA, passed away at Legacy Village in Moultrie, GA, on Sunday, May 25, 2025. He will be interred in New York in his family burial plot.

Mr. Kelley was born on February 10, 1936, in Elmira, NY, to the late Cecil G. Kelley and Velma G. Wiley Kelley. He served his county in the United States Army. On August 10, 1958, he married Helen Wanda Loucks Kelly. He retired as an intelligence analyst with the United States Central Intelligence Agency. He was of the Methodist faith.

Survivors include: his wife of 66 years, Helen Wanda Kelley of Cairo, GA; son, James S. Kelley (Pamela) of Cairo, GA; 5 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren; sisters, Joan Sawdey of Seneca, SC and Pauline Thorpe. He was preceded in death by: his parents; daughter, Kathy Lee K. Oswald; and sisters, Patricia Lazeski, Marilyn Treat.
