James Frazier Tuggle
December 16, 1928 – October 2, 2018

Funeral services for James Frazier Tuggle, of Cairo, GA, are at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, October 4, 2018, at Pine Level Baptist Church, Cairo, GA. Rev. Jim Weaver will officiate. Interment will be in Pine Level Baptist Church Cemetery, Cairo, GA. Mr. Tuggle passed away quietly at his home on October 2, 2018, in the 89th year of his life surrounded by his loving family.

Active pallbearers will be Mike Bennett, Rodney Prince, Ricky Prince, Barry Shiver, Rodney Shiver and Buddy Sellers.

He was born in Grady County, Georgia, on December 16, 1928, to the late James Watson and Ruby Hester Tuggle. Frazier was the 6th of 10 children. After serving in the United States Army, he returned home to farm. On November 16, 1952, he married Mary Frances Willis Tuggle. She preceded him in death on August 10, 2012. The couple shared almost 60 years of marriage together and were the parents of three children. His love and livelihood were farming, which he did all his life. He was a wonderful father and teacher. He taught his children how to love, how to work and how to be strong. He loved his family every day of his life. He was a member of Pine Level Baptist Church.

Survivors include: his children, Emo Lic Jones (Gary) of Cairo, GA, Mary Catherine Dees of Cairo, GA, James Watson “Buster” Tuggle (Sheila) of Cairo, GA; grandchildren, Mary Amanda Jones Gainous (Tommy) of Cairo, GA, Janna Lodge of Whigham, GA, Dusty Tuggle, Tessa Tuggle and Dakota Tuggle, all of Cairo, GA; great-grandchildren, EmaLee Catherine Gainous of Cairo, GA, Krissa Lodge of Whigham, GA, Rodney James Tuggle of Ochlocknee, GA; and sisters, Shirley Bennett, Ruby Barrett, both of Cairo, GA, Linda Counts of Weed, CA.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; his loving wife; brother, Milton Tuggle; and sisters, Margaret Tuggle, Worbie Sellers, Helen Smith, Agnes Prince, Martha Williford.

The family will receive friends in the Fellowship Hall of Pine Level Baptist Church on Thursday, October 4, 2018, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.
