Jackie Cox, 81, of Cairo, GA, passed away at his home on Saturday, July 18, 2026. No services are planed at this time.

Mr. Cox was born on January 13, 1945, in Cairo, GA, to the late Lavon Cox and Edna Adams Cox. On March 12, 1965, he married Patricia Anne Wilkes Cox, who preceded him in death on November 14, 2020. He retired from the insurance industry.

Survivors include: children, Sheilia Stephens (Johnny) of Cairo, GA, Jacky Cox (Christina) of Havana, FL; grandchildren, Brian Folsom, Ashley Flowers, Brandon Conrad, Amber Garbett, all of Cairo, GA; brothers, Lavon Cox, Jr. (Patricia), Larry Cox (Tanya), Jimmy Cox (Evelyn); a sister, Glenda Moore; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, Lavon and Edna Cox; his wife, Patricia Ann Wilkes Cox; grandson, Eric Conrad; brothers, Randy Cox, Gene Cox; and a sister, Linda Lashley.
