Harold Maurice “Reese” Fain
July 6, 1953 – March 4, 2025

Memorial service for Harold Maurice “Reese” Fain, 71, of Cairo, GA, will be Sunday, March 9, 2025, at 3 p.m. at El Bethel Baptist Church, Whigham, GA. Reese passed away at Archbold Living – Cairo after a hard-fought battle with cancer.
A Baptist of faith, Reese was born July 6, 1953, in Albany, GA, to the late MSGT Kenneth Elwood Fain, USAF Retired, and the late Sara Johnson Fain. He was a self-employed painter for many years. He took pride in keeping his yard kept and was an avid fisherman. He was a proud father of three children: Mandy, Jaci and Brandon. You could always catch him sitting outside in his swing, when he wasn’t at the pond fishing.
He is survived by his daughter, Jacqueline Fain Shattles (Floyd), of Cairo, GA; son, Brandon Reese Fain of Carrolton, GA; grandchildren, Austin Shattles (Carmen), Rilee Williams, Leah Wisham and Easton Shattles, all of Cairo, GA; great-grandchildren, Kylar, Haven and Annie, all of Cairo, GA; siblings, Kenneth Leon Fain, Unadilla, GA, Gary Fain (Gee), Sherry Fain Pearce, all of Cairo, GA and Brent Fain (JoNell) of Donalsonville, GA; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
He is preceded in death by parents, Kenneth Elwood Fain MSGT, USAF Ret. and Sara Fain; daughter, Amanda Carol (Mandy) Fain; brother, Barry Ennis Fain; niece, Ashley Nicole Toliver; aunts and uncles, Faye Jordan (David) and Betty Green (Paul).
The family will receive friends and family immediately following the memorial service.
