Harold Eugene Humphries, Sr.
December 21, 1949 – March 12, 2021

Funeral services for Harold Eugene Humphries, 71, of Pelham, GA, on Tuesday, March 16, 2021, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Cairo, GA.  The service will conclude at the church.  Elder Charles Butler will officiate.  Private interment will be in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery, Pelham, GA.  Mr. Humphries passed away peacefully at his home in Grady County, GA, on Friday, March 12, 2021, surrounded by his loving family.

Active pallbearers will be Oscar Humphries, Harold Humphries, Jr., Jason Nakai, Bruce Humphries, Jr., Curtis Humphries and Edward Rios.

Mr. Humphries was born on December 21, 1949, in Barwick, GA, to the late Curtis Roger Humphries and Eva Mae Banks Humphries.  On December 20, 1975, he married Gloria Goedel Humphries, who survives.  He retired from the Koyo Company in Cairo where he worked in the shipping department.  He was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  Harold loved to spend time out in nature and adored spending time with his family.  He had a passion for genealogy and a deep love for the word of God and the teachings of Jesus Christ.

Survivors include: his wife, Gloria Humphries of Pelham, GA; children, Nikki Brumbley (Noah) of Cairo, GA, Jason Nakai (Cindy) of Tallahassee, FL, Christie Kelly of Pelham, GA, Harold Humphries, Jr. (Zury) of Cairo, GA, Andrea Humphries of Pelham, GA, Oscar Humphries (Monique) of Valdosta, GA, Ashley Humphries of Thomasville, GA; grandchildren, Lizzy Brumbley, Kiel Nakai, Melah Nakai, Elan Nakai, Dakota Kelly, Dinae Kelly, Edward Rios, Sofia Rios, Jaxton Humphries, Sutherlynn Humphries; brother, Grant D. Humphries of Athens, GA; sister, Aquila M. Little of Atlanta, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; and brothers, Roger Brooks Humphries, Bruce Carter Humphries, Sr.
