George Wayne Bonner
July 21, 1940 – February 3, 2023

Private graveside funeral services for George Wayne Bonner, 82, of Cairo, GA, will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo, GA.  Rev. Lucy Baker and Dr. Larry Green will officiate.  Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo, GA.  Mr. Bonner passed away at Pelham Parkway Nursing Home, Pelham, GA, on Friday, February 3, 2023.

Mr. Bonner was born on July 21, 1940, in Cairo, GA, to the late Joseph Alton Bonner and Leila McLendon Bonner.  He was married to Jean Turnbull Bonner, who preceded him in death on February 18, 2003.  He was a retired truck driver.

Survivors include: his sisters, Mae Belle Griffin of Jennings, FL, Rebecca Hartsfield of Cairo, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; his wife; brother, Joseph Franklin Bonner; and a sister, Peggy Irene Crum.
