Ellen Turner Wade

Funeral services for Ellen Turner Wade, 75, of Ochlocknee, GA, are at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 23, 2018, at Eastside Baptist Church, Cairo, GA. Rev. Carl Harrell and Rev. Andrew Donaldson will officiate. Services will conclude at the church. Private interment will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Cairo, GA. Mrs. Wade passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, March 20, 2018.

Active pallbearers will be Roy Emmons, Heyward Hollingsworth, Billy Poitevint, Julian Rawls, Tommy Pyles and Tommy Lackey.

Mrs. Wade was born on September 3, 1942, in Meigs, GA, to the late Warren Turner and Elizabeth Hewell Turner. On July 1, 1960, she married Gene Wade, who survives. For 30 years, she worked with Archbold Memorial Hospital and retired as the Assistant Director of Medical Records. She was a devoted member of Eastside Baptist Church. Her passion was sending cards of well wishes, encouragement and condolences to friends and family in need.

Survivors include: her husband of 57 years, Gene Wade of Ochlocknee, GA; son, Richard Wade of Ochlocknee, GA; daughter, Pam Wade of Tallahassee, FL; grandchildren, Natalie Morrell (Chad) of Ochlocknee, GA, Ricky Wade (Lauren) of Metcalf, GA, Lauren Lowry of Tallahassee, FL; great-grandchildren, Hunter Morrell, Adrianna Morrell, Karlee Morrell, all of Ochlocknee, GA, Bristol Wade, Cohen Wade, both of Metcalf, GA; brothers, Robert Turner (Louise) of Athens, GA, William Turner of Dallas, TX; sister, Mary Richardson of Leesburg, GA; special friend and neighbor, Angie Emmons (Roy); and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Thursday, March 22, 2018, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
