Funeral services for Eleanor Cannon Lee, 86, of Cairo, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at Pine Hill Baptist Church, Cairo, GA. Rev. Greg Ford and Rev. Matthew Nance will officiate. Interment will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Cairo, GA. Mrs. Lee passed away at her home on Friday, October 17, 2025.

Active pallbearers will be Ricky Whiddon, Pat Whiddon, Mike Whiddon, David Whiddon, Jeff Whiddon, Argene Claxton, Mark Lee, Jon Lee and Jeffery Windham. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Adult II Sunday School Class at Pine Hill Baptist Church.

Eleanor Cannon Lee was born on July 3, 1939, in Quincy, FL to the late Roy and Carlena Vickers Cannon. She married Robert E. Lee on June 3, 1960, and he preceded her in death on May 3, 2022. She retired from Grady County School system after 30 plus years as secretary at Washington Middle School.

Eleanor devoted her life to loving her family and friends and also loving the Lord, seeking His guidance and serving Him. She was a devoted member of Pine Hill Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and served as Church Clerk and Vacation Bible School director for many years.

She is survived by her son, Danny (Barbara) Lee and her daughter, Pam (Blake) Jones; sister, Martha Keily of Perry, GA, Brother-in-law & Sister-in-law, Weyman & Martha Lee, Sister-in-law, Geraldine Harrison and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, in-laws, Berry & Maggie Lee; brother-in-law Leo Keily and brothers & sisters-in-laws, Leonard & Elizabeth Maxwell, James & Hazel Lee, Ronald & Sybyl Lee and brother-in-law, Fred Harrison.

Memorials may be made to Pine Hill Baptist Church, P. O. Box 1392, Cairo, GA 39828 or Archbold Hospice, P. O. Box 620, Thomasville, GA 31799.

The family would like to give special thanks to caregivers, Valarie Jones, Latasha (Missy) Jones and Christine Thompson and the staff and volunteers of Archbold Hospice for their love, devotion and care.

The family will receive friends at Pine Hill Baptist Church on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
