Funeral services for Dorothy Hester Lewis, 89, of Cairo, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 4, 2019, at Midway Baptist Church, Cairo, GA. Rev. Johnny Burdick and Rev. Jimmy Burt will officiate. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo, GA. Mrs. Lewis passed away at her home in Cairo, GA, on Friday, February 1, 2019.

Active pallbearers will be Leland Justice, Mark Bufatini, Art Faircloth and Mark Faircloth.

Mrs. Lewis was born on November 15, 1929, in Cairo, GA, to the late Willie Hester and Clifford Lee Hester. On September 2, 1950, she married Herby Albert Lewis, who preceded her in death on January 14, 2004. She worked with Warners Clothing in Thomasville for many years. Later in life, she worked in the printing industry. She was a member of Midway Baptist Church.

Survivors include her nieces and nephews; her great-nieces and great-nephews; and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews; and extended family.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; daughter, Lisa Anne Lewis; and a son, Albert Wayne “Al” Lewis.
