Funeral services for Dorothy Bond Anderson, 82, of Cairo, GA, are at 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 27, 2018, at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA. Pastor Bill Staten will officiate. Services will conclude at the chapel. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo, GA. Mrs. Anderson passed away at Camellia Gardens of Life Care in Thomasville, GA, on Wednesday, April 25, 2018.

Active pallbearers will be Wally Smith, Cary Rehberg, David Coleman, David Connell, Wes Williams and Bo Williams.

Mrs. Anderson was born on October 5, 1935, in Cairo, GA, to the late Paul Edward Bond and Eula Grace Hester Bond. On October 13, 1956, she married Charles Thomas Anderson, who preceded her in death on February 4, 1983. She and her husband owned and operated Cairo Dry Cleaners in Cairo for several years. Dorothy was a Christian and accepted Jesus Christ as her savior when she was 14 years old. She was a devoted member of Faith Christian Center.

Survivors include: her daughter, Anita Lynne Anderson of Cairo, GA; nieces and nephews, Suzanne Konsheck (Walt) of Philadelphia, PA, Linda Gail Bond Nettles of Jacksonville, FL, Julia Dianne Bond Adams, Kenny Adams, Kevin Adams, both of Jacksonville, FL; cousins, Roberta Williams (Johnny) of Cairo, GA, Beth Owens (William) of Cairo, GA, Roger Bond (Henrietta) of Cairo, GA, Levaughn Bond (Alice) of Whigham, GA, Glynelle McKenzie (Buddy) of Camilla, GA, Douglas Bond (Cindy) of Ochlocknee, GA, Rebecca Dean (Edd) of Bradenton, FL; and a host of extended family.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; son, Larry T. Anderson; brother, William E. Bond; and a sister, Velma I. Bond.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Friday, April 27, 2018, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
