Funeral services for Donnie Ray Ulmer, 49, of Oakfield, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 12, 2026, at The Bridge Community Church, 253 Pleasant Grove Road, Cairo, GA 39827. Pastor Craig Singletary will officiate. Services will conclude at the church. Private family interment will be in Tired Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Whigham, GA. Mr. Ulmer passed away at his family’s homeplace in Whigham, GA on Friday, March 7, 2026.
Active pallbearers will be Joe Knight, Louis Asbell, Lawson Womble, Chad Ulmer, Bruce Womble and Collie Prince.
Donnie Ray was born on November 26, 1976, in Cairo, GA, to the late Arvard Donnie Ulmer and Diane Sellers. On October 4, 2014, he married Tiffany Halverson Ulmer. He grew up running heavy equipment and hauling, work that reflected his strong work ethic and love for honest labor. He loved working on the land he was raised on.
Above all else, he was a devoted husband and proud girl dad whose love for his family was unwavering. He loved with a fierce loyalty that defined who he was, always protecting and providing for those he held close. His circle of friends was large, and many of them he considered family, building lifelong bonds through loyalty, laughter, and shared memories. He cherished time spent together and found peace in the outdoors, where he felt most at home. Being a father to his daughter was one of the greatest joys and proudest roles of his life, and the love, strength, and values he instilled in her will remain a lasting part of his legacy.
Survivors include: his wife, Tiffany Ulmer of Oakfield, GA; children, Ashton Eliza Ulmer of Oakfield, GA; siblings, Sherri Denise Thompson (Shannon) of Cairo, GA, Richard Chad Ulmer (Amanda) of Havana, FL; nieces and nephews, Evalyn Joy Ulmer of Havana, FL, Jonathan Wade of Havana, FL, Dylan Heath Vaughn of Thomasville, GA, Dakota Ryan Vaughn of Cairo, GA, Payton Warren of Leesburg, GA; and a host of extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arvard Donnie Ulmer and Diane Sellers.

The family will receive friends at the Bridge Community Church immediately following the service at the church.
