Funeral services for Donna Gail Davis, 76, of Cairo, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 26, 2025, at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel, Cairo, GA. Rev. Chad Cooper will officiate. Private family interment will be in Pine Level Baptist Church Cemetery, Cairo, GA. Mrs. Davis passed away at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville, GA, on Monday, June 23, 2025.

Active pallbearers will be Kendall Taylor, Mike Anderson, Shannon Davis, Stevie Davis, Dalton Palmer and Riley Upton.

Mrs. Davis was born on May 19, 1949, in Waycross, GA, to the late Thomas Julian Ponselle and Miriam Courson Krain. In 1987, she married Larry Davis, who preceded her in death on October 1, 2012. She retired as a billing supervisor at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.

Survivors include: son, Sean Thompson of Marseilles, IL.; daughter, Misty Smith (Luther) of Ochlocknee, GA; stepsons, Shannon Davis of Cairo, GA, Stevie Davis of Cairo, GA; grandchildren, Makenzie Palmer (Dalton) of Ochlocknee, GA, Laramee Smith (Riley Upton) of Ochlocknee, GA, Kaitlen Thompson of Mattoon, IL, Rainey Davis and Summer Davis of Valdosta, GA; great-grandchild, Brody Palmer of Ochlocknee, GA; sister, Michelle Fox of Nahunta, GA, Janice Ringo of Florida; brothers, Tommy Ponselle of Georgia, Timmy Waldron of Hawaii; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

She was preceded in death by: her grandparents, Willie Levi Courson and Daisy Brown Courson; parents, Thomas Julian Ponselle and Miriam Courson Krain; son, Eric Barrett; husband, Eldon Barrett; husband, Larry Davis; and a sister, Denise Simpson.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Thursday, June 26, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
