Dennis Clifton Rich
November 19, 1960 – May 12, 2023

Dennis Clifton Rich of Cairo, GA, died unexpectantly at the age of 62, Friday, May 12, 2023.  Dennis was born to Riley Clifton Rich and Ruth Pope Rich on November 19, 1960, in Cairo, GA.  He was a talented athlete who loved playing sports and received a full-ride baseball scholarship to Valdosta State College.  He had a successful career in the construction industry, but he enjoyed spending his free time teaching his son how to play ball and fish.  He was a member of Gordon Heights Baptist Church.

Survivors include: his son, Dennis Christian Rich of Eufaula, AL, and as well as many aunts, uncles, friends, and extended family.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents, his parents, and his brother, Kenneth Lee Rich.

“What you doing buckshot,” will be one of the many missed conversations; this isn’t goodbye, it is until I see you again.

Funeral services will be Saturday, May 20, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA.  Rev. William Hurst will officiate.  The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home immediately following the funeral service.
