Debra Trawick Barrett

Debra Trawick Barrett, 75, of Cairo, GA, passed away at the Wight Hospice Center in Thomasville, GA, on Saturday, March 7, 2026. The family will have a private funeral service with Rev. Tammy Fincannon officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo, GA.

Mrs. Barrett was born on November 8, 1950, in Albany, GA, to the late Nathan Trawick and Gloria McLendon Trawick. On June 21, 1968, she married Jackie Barrett, who preceded her in death on July 9, 2016. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include: her children, Dawn Knight, Josh Barrett (Kerri), Justin Barrett (Lynlee), all of Cairo, GA; grandchildren, Lindsey Boyles (Ethan) of Barwick, GA, Jakson Barrett (Sarah), Jaken Barrett, Colton Knight, Lane Barrett, Luke Barrett, all of Cairo, GA; and a great-grandchild, Ramsey Boyles of Barwick, GA.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, Nathan and Gloria Trawick; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, J.M and Tollie Barrett; and her husband, Jackie Barrett.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mrs. Barrett’s memory to: Archbold Foundation to support the John B. and Elizabeth V. Wight Inpatient Hospice Center in Thomasville, GA.
