Daniel Ray Poff
November 10, 1929 – December 27, 2020

Daniel Ray Poff, 91, of Cairo, GA, passed away at Grady General Hospital, Cairo, GA, on Sunday, December 27, 2020. A family memorial service is planned for a later date.

Mr. Poff was born on November 10, 1929, in Argyle, Wisconsin, to the late Guy Poff and Clara Jackson Poff.  He served his country in the United States Army and retired from the construction business as a contractor.  Mr. Poff was a member of the Cairo First Baptist Church.

Dan had a love for woodworking.  His craftsmanship was remarkable, as many people can attest to.  He taught his children the value of working hard to achieve their dreams.  After retirement, he loved to get together with family and friends to play cards, even inventing his own version of Shanghai Rummy, which we now call “Grandpa’s Rummy.”  He will be missed dearly by everyone.
